A Message From. Our Founder

Happy “RAINY” February FMAA! I think we can all say we are all thankful for all the rain we have had. Maybe not so much at once, but boy how we have needed it. Several days ago I was driving on the 168 and the view of the snow covered Sierra’s was just breathtaking. The air was so clear. I cannot remember seeing the mountains with so much snow. Just WOW! 

Well, I hope everyone is entering “LOVE” month feeling happy and doing well. I think that Valentine’s Day, while I know it can be a very “commercialized” holiday, can also be a time for people to reflect on loved ones and friendships.

It doesn’t have to be all about “romantic” love. Honestly, Valentine's Day can be kinda sad for some people. So, here at FMAA, we want to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th, by giving students (and parents) an opportunity to express love to a friend or family member. Friday, February 17 is national “Random Acts of Kindness” day so this all fits together. Within the next week, we will have stations set up at each location where you and or your child can “make a Valentine” for someone special. We encourage you to take it home and mail it or, if that someone lives with you, then hand it to that person. OR, we can hang it on the FMAA walls (-: 

Let’s see, the last fun thing I will mention is that my daughter Karter and I got to spend several days in Richmond Virginia this past month. My son Zack and his lovely wife Charlene moved there this past summer for Charlene’s job. She is a large animal veterinarian. They bought a home that is located in a historical part of town. The home is 118 years old and is the COOLEST house ever! They are within walking distance to the James River which is just BEAUTIFUL. Needless to say, we had a great time…and it was FREEZING there!

It serves as a reminder for everyone to remain aware of how important your impact is in this world and how any small gesture of goodwill can change someone's day! During this time, notes will be available at the front desk if you feel moved to write a kind thought down for someone special to you- or even for someone you barely know!

Business Highlight

Alchemist Coffee Lab is a specialty coffee shop located in Fresno's Tower District (right next door to us!)

They offer a wide variety of drinks, such as tea, chai, matcha and of course coffee! They roast their own specialty grade coffee from all over the world.

They offer different types of coffee experiences, such as Syphon, Flights (pour over and espresso), and Turkish coffee.

They offer pastries from local bakers and offer a wide selection of food items as well!

Monday - Friday, 10AM - 7PM and Saturday, 9AM - 3PM

We offer lessons in: Voice, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, violin, flute, clarinet, and a recognized early childhood music program MUSIC FUNTIME.
