READ/LEARN: In March 2023, the Department of Justice completed its investigation of Louisville Metro Police Department and issued a scathing report of the Department’s pattern and practices of abuse, especially toward Louisville’s Black residents. The report is well-written, and the information is important to know—but at 90 pages, it’s a bit of a read. We have broken the report into 4 sections (one for each week of the ARC). Read Section 4:

REGISTER: The Annual Meeting for Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29 at the historic Lyric Theater & Cultural Arts Center in Lexington. You can learn more and register for the entire meeting here: Kentuckians for the Commonwealth

PARTICIPATE: In a Zoom discussion with the The Association of U. S. Catholic Priests as they Acknowledge and Address the Sins of Racism in the Church. Research and identify the Church’s role in upholding racist practices, historically and presently.

There will be 2 sessions: Monday August 7, 14, 21, & 28 (7:30-9:00 PM EDT) or

Wednesday August 9, 16, 23, & 30 (2:00-3:30PM EDT)

You need not have attended previous sessions and may switch between these as you wish. The sessions will be moderated by Susan and Paul Sherman.
