Hello Erin,
2 years ago, in March 2020, Mission 25 took a trip to Cambodia. We returned on March 17th, having no idea when we would be able to return to Cambodia.
Finally, in March 2022, almost 2 years to the day, we returned to Cambodia! We took a short trip to spend time with staff & partners, check out the changes in Cambodia, and see some of the work that Mission 25 has been funding.
In those 24 months, Our Cambodian staff kept things moving despite changing restrictions and shut-downs and because of their faithfulness, we saw God moving in the lives of the people in the communities we serve.
Just a few Updates:
- The dorms are running successfully thanks to Pastor Bora and his wife, Lisa, who also serve as our in-country program development directors. We have 25 students living in 2 dorms. They meet for Bible study and fellowship every week, and the community they have built is beautiful! 3 of our students now have siblings living in the dorms.
- Our school is back up and running! SreyPheak & KongKea are doing a great job and we currently have 75 students attending school every day. They recently sent us video of the kids playing and reconnecting. We are so thankful for this community!
- We were able to visit some wells that had been installed over the last 2 years! Pastor Bora has created a solar system that allows water to go to all of the houses in the village where the well is located. Each house connects to a hose that lets them access water direct to their homes and their gardens, which enables them to provide food for their families. Below you can see a video of some boys playing in one of the solar powered water!
Take a look at our 2021 impact report to see more of what we've done in the last year!
