Fitch Ratings Presentation
On Wednesday, November 30, Rodney Pelletier, MBA '96, Colin Mansfield, '09, and Jamie Krulewitz of Fitch Ratings came to present to real estate students and other business majors about their firm and the upcoming opportunities they have for students.  Ranked second of the Big 3 rating agencies, and dual headquartered in New York and London, Fitch Ratings provides an independent opinion about the ability of securities to meet their financial obligations.

Rodney shared his experience working abroad in the London office and with the company's structured finance group, which rates CMBS, RMBS, and ABS. Colin, a CFA and associate director, took the students through an example that illustrated the process Fitch would go through when rating a gaming company and the factors that they consider when doing so.
Jamie, who is an MD and the global head of talent at Fitch shared her role in cultivating the best talent at Fitch and the impact that the regulations of the Dodd-Frank Act of 2008 has had on pushing them to have a greater focus on training and worker competence.

The Center would like to thank Rodney, Jamie, and Colin for coming to UConn and for continuing to support our students.
