Creating and Stewarding Pollinator Habitat

Workshop on 11/3


Walpole, NH (October 19, 2023) – Have you considered turning your lawn or property edges into pollinator habitat? November is prime time to begin dreaming for next year!


This engaging workshop offers an introduction to starting and maintaining native pollinator meadows. We will explore foundational work like goal-setting, habitat considerations, and useful tools and approaches to site preparation. We will also discuss planting methods for new meadows and management strategies for existing ones. There will also be time for any questions you may have!

This workshop is a partnership between UNH Master Gardeners, UNH Extension, Distant Hill Gardens and Nature Trail, Cheshire County Conservation District and the Monadnock View Community Garden.




The Cheshire County Conservation District promotes the conservation and responsible use of our natural and agricultural resources for the people of Cheshire County by providing technical, financial, and educational assistance. Our goal is to encourage the stewardship of healthy soils, productive ecologically sound farms, diverse wildlife, productive sustainable forests, healthy watersheds, and clean water to ensure those resources are available for future generations.
