Celebrate National Distance Learning Week! November 6th-10th

The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) is celebrating National Distance Learning Week with a free, virtual conference streaming in both English and Spanish. This annual celebration of distance learning in the United States is complimentary and open to anyone.


How Artificial Intelligence Is Redefining Distance Learning in The Year 2023


This 16th annual celebration of distance/digital learning will provide a week of complimentary webinar sessions focused on how AI is impacting the industry with respect to education and training.


This NDLW conference is intended to:

  • generate greater awareness and appreciation for distance learning;
  • celebrate distance learning applications in K-12, telehealth, higher education, corporate, and government/military;
  • discuss current issues and emerging trends;
  • highlight best practices;
  • recognize leaders in the field


There will be two to three sessions per day and each will be recorded for those who can't make it in person. USDLA expects the first daily session to start at 9am PST with the other daily sessions starting at 11am and 1pm PST.

South Bay Consortium for Adult Education Seeking New Director - Apply on EDJOIN Now

South Bay Consortium for Adult Education (SBCAE) is looking for a new consortium director. SBCAE member, Campbell Union High School District, posted the opening to EDJOIN on October 25 and it will remain open until filled. This is a 260 days-per-year classified management position. The director's responsibilities include providing the vision and strategic leadership for the development and operation of the SBCAE activities in collaboration with its co-chairs and steering committee and serving as the SBCAE's lead and primary point person for communication with the State of California Adult Education Program (CAEP). OTAN's Technology and Distance Learning Symposium (TDLS) - Call for Proposals Open!

Plans are underway for OTAN's Technology and Distance Learning Symposium 2024, scheduled for Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. TDLS will be a hybrid event offering in-person and virtual sessions. The in-person event will be hosted by our friends at Fremont Adult and Continuing Education.


The Call for Proposals is open! You are invited to present and share your promising practices, strategies, lesson plans, and other resources related to technology integration and digital learning in your programs with your adult education colleagues. The Call for Proposals closes on Monday, December 4.

OTAN is looking for presentations that highlight technology, how it enhances the learner experience, extends the classroom to learners, and how technology integration helps adult education programs be more effective and efficient. If you would like more ideas on possible presentation topics, view last year's sessions on the TDLS Video Presentations page on the OTAN website.

Join the Association of Community and Continuing Education (ACCE) for the Fall Zoom-In. For over 30 years, ACCE has been the organization to host opportunities for networking, professional development, and advocacy for community services, and continuing education/noncredit programs.

Please note that this date is an extension to the original due date of October 30 due to issues submitting and certifying in NOVA.



CAEP Program Area Report

Certified by Consortia

The CAEP Program Area report is due to be certified in NOVA by December 1, 2023. To report hours of instruction, members are to use the TOPSpro® Enterprise CAEP 2022-23 member reports by program area, their agency’s attendance system, and the community college district’s apportionment attendance reports generated from the CCFS-320 Reporting System for noncredit FTES. To report leveraged funds, use your districts accounting records.
