Open Doors

"When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them."
Isaiah 22:22b
Dear Ministry Partner,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

It has been a great joy to be in this new month to experience God’s goodness in our family and in the ministry we are doing. God spares our lives and His hands are moving upon us. Let His name be honored and highly praised!

While adjusting to our daily routine for family and community affairs, God opened golden doors for ministry opportunities, such as fellowship with elderly widows, visiting sick in the hospitals, promoting the ministry, meeting new pastors, and teachers as well. God is leading us into various situations to see and to minister to the people more in this critical period, psychologically and physically. We are looking forward to His wonderful provision and meeting the needs a little bit at a time.

I also had a wonderful seminar on God’s Financial Principles (GFP) and a Teachers Training Workshop (TTW) for the pastors and church leaders at local church. Over 25 participants attended. It was wonderful hearing about their thoughts and experiences as a result of the training. Many participants see the need to transform hearts when it comes to controlling finances. We were blessed by the training. Praise the Lord!
Please continue to remember our country, Myanmar (Burma) in your prayers. The fighting is not getting better, especially in the rural regions, which looks like there is more targeting in the Christian states. People are still running and hiding every day due to the fighting and bombing, which really makes Christ’s ministry work slow. We need more of His wisdom above all and His guidance.

When the international leaders made many sanctions to our country (to the military leaders) and many business groups left the country, the military lost their incomes. As a result, prices are going up to almost three times and the people are suffering. Regular price for one bag of rice before was 35,000 MMK ($17 USD) and now is 135,000 MMK ($65 USD).

This devaluation of our support is drastically affecting our family’s food budget. We are asking the Lord to provide an increase of $250.00 per month to meet these basic needs.

Please consider making a new monthly commitment today to help meet this need. We thank you in advance for your help. Click HERE.

Thank you so much for your love, prayer, and faithful financial support.

With much prayer and love,
CCI Myanmar National Director
Staff Update
While the National Director was in south central Myanmar to lead the TTW and GFP, he met with two teachers and made calls to the teachers in that region. Some classes are doing well, while others are in a difficult situation due to unrest circumstances.

Pastor Z and his family are good. He continues teaching his class and tutoring children with his wife.

Pastor M visited some teachers but they can’t resume the classes yet due to the fight. His class is doing well. It is time for farming, which supports Pastor M's family and ministry.

Pastor B is leading a class with five students and meeting up with teachers, who are doing well.

Pastor T and Pastor Y are currently out of contact. Please pray for their safety and for good health.
Testimony From a Student
"I thank the Lord for CCI and the training material on finances that I learned recently. It was a touching one. I thought it would tell us how to manage our finance, but I realized that it is teaching about the situation of our hearts. I learned that I need to be influenced by the Word in order to better control and master God’s blessings. It was one of the happiest moments in my Christian life. I am praying to share this to many fellow believers as much as I can. Thank you again."

Prayer Requests & Praises

Praise points:

o  Praise the Lord, my back pain is fully recovered. My family and the CCI team are doing well.

o  We held a God's Financial Principles seminar (GFP) and a Teachers Training Workshop (TTW). Over 40 church leaders and pastors attended the seminars. We all learned new things from God’s Word and were blessed.

o  Praise the Lord for the relief fund for the Mocha cyclone. Thank you so much for your generous giving.

Prayer points:

o  One of the churches invited me to lead a seminar on God’s Financial Principles (GFP) next month. Pray that many will come and learn about finances for the work of service.

o  Pray for our country, the situation is not getting better. Recently, a speed attack happened in Kachin State. Thousands of people are running to safe zones in fear. The military leaders cut off phone lines. Pray for our area leaders there, as well as all the people, for protection and provision.

o  Due to the political crisis in the country, people face difficulty finding jobs and the work of thieves and robbers increases. A thief took Pastor B’s motorbike two weeks ago during the night. He compares this to feeling like his leg was broken to do the ministry and support the family. Pray for B’s family, that God will provide a new motorbike for the ministry. Pray, also, for B’s daughter to recover from fever and weakness.

o  Please continue to pray for my visa renewal appointment on August 15th at 10AM.

o  I have received a school fee for one of my three children. Now, I need sponsors for my two other children. Each child's tuition fee for one year is $2,000. Pray with us that God will touch His messengers to meet the needs.

o  The staff of CCI Myanmar is looking forward to the Global Conference to be held in Thailand in November. Many would like to go, but do not have the money to buy plane tickets. Many teachers want to join in this inspiring meeting and sharing God’s goodness together. Please pray for God’s provision for this.
