As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closure, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

TRAFFIC ALERT: There will be multiple stoppages on I-64 west from W. Evans Street to W. Bay Avenue on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for the installation of overhead sign structures. Stoppages may last up to 30 minutes. Motorists heading west can expect delays from I-564 to Bay Avenue.
