Business Education Network
The Business Education Network and the Willmar High School welcomed Ashley Thompson with Healthy Fusion to the high school for Zero Hour in early October. Zero Hour is the first hour every other Wednesday for students to catch up on tests or missing work. Those that do not have work to catch up on are in the commons area until classes start. This provides the opportunity to showcase businesses and career opportunities in our community. BEN also presented Classroom to Career at the Willmar Area Learning Center and ACGC in October. Classroom to Career allows business professionals to engage with students about their career choices here in the Willmar Lakes Area and discuss how the decisions in high school will open future opportunities. The program is designed to show classroom students that they are in control of their future educational goals through personal choice and educational decisions. Thank you to Kate Dimler (Bethesda), Jeff Duininck (Duininck, Inc.), Steve Gardner (Willmar Electric), Jessica Hanson (Willmar Hypnosis), and Bradley Pederson (Christianson PLLP) for presenting.
