August Updates

First Day of Class 8/19

The Fall 2024 semester is finally here! We hope you had a relaxing summer and are ready to study hard this semester. Classes begin Monday, August 19th. We are excited to have you here!

Parking Permits

If you plan on having a car on campus, remember that you must purchase a parking permit!

Super Saturday 8/17

9a.m to 3p.m

For your convenience and last minute needs, many offices will open for in-person services on Saturday, August 17th, 2024. SRJC staff and student leaders will be available to provide hands-on support for new and returning students with admissions requirements, information about financial aid and scholarships, campus life, registering for classes, and much more!

Important Reminders

You must enroll in at least 12 units in fall/spring, and only one class (or 3 units) can be fully online. You may request a Reduced Course Load authorization in some cases.

More F-1 regulations

8/19 - start of classes

8/25 - last day to add without an add code

9/1 - last day to drop with a refund

9/8 - last day to add with an add code

Friday 8/11 is a Professional Development Day at SRJC. That means campus is closed until 1pm, so your teachers can do some learning, too! Don't worry, we are open for Saturday Services.

Meet David!

What’s up!

I’m David Atup, an international student at SRJC raised in Cebu City, Philippines. I am currently studying here with the goal of transferring to a four-year institution and obtain a Biomedical Engineering degree.

I can speak English, Bisaya, and Filipino fluently and I’m currently learning Spanish with Duolingo (and with a little help from my friends). In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, digital photography, and graphite sketching. My favorite thing to do is spontaneous hang-outs with my buddies: we’d go to some random interesting place and figure out what to do only when we get there. The best things in life always come when you least expect them. I wish you all the best for this coming Fall 2024 semester.
