Business Recovery

Summit & Expo Rewind

Friday, July 7, 2023 • The Hyatt Regency Guam

The Chamber would like to thank all our speakers, exhibitors, and attendees who participated in our Business Recovery Summit & Expo held at the Hyatt Regency Guam on Friday, July 7th. The Summit was held to bring government and private sector industries together to discuss our island's post-typhoon situation and the challenges, and opportunities that come with rebuilding and restructuring a community after a devastating natural disaster. Participants heard from Congressman James Moylan who provided updates on his efforts in Washington to bring much-needed resources to Guam. The event featured panels that discussed Guam's economic recovery and the impacts (if any) on construction, tourism, real estate, and our workforce; the status of our utilities and telecommunications infrastructure and what to expect moving forward.

The exhibition portion of the program featured 25 exhibitors including FEMA, US SBA, GEDA, financial institutions, insurance companies, title companies, construction and equipment companies, and more. Participants had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with companies that provide essential resources and solutions for their individual businesses. The event additionally featured a short motivational segment focused on employee morale and retention.

There was much to take away from the event and the Chamber looks forward to maximizing opportunities, continuing discussions, and working with our government and private sector partners on solutions and collaborations to build a more disaster-resilient community.

Si Yu'os Ma'ase to our Panelists and Exhibitors!
