Verified Programs - Final Steps


Thanks to all the colleges that submitted Verified Program applications for engineering and/or computing. Colleges are being notified if they have been selected to present dynamic and unique program elements at:


Verified Program Pitch Fest/Designation Day

November 15th at 3:00 - 6:30 pm

Grab your tickets while they last! Or if you are an educator, contact your computing or engineering department to find out how to get complimentary tickets. Staff and faculty from participating programs do not need to purchase an event ticket.

What happens after the Verified Program Pitch Fest/Designation Day? On or before December 9th, colleges will be notified if their program(s) are approved as verified program status and provided press release templates, graphics, a list of benefits, and summer 2024 internship details.

2023 Counselor Conference


The San Diego and Imperial Regional Consortium (SDI RC) is pleased to bring together counselors, administrators, and educators from middle school, high school, adult education, and community colleges (and open to those who work with these populations) for the 8th annual Counselor Conference. This is a one-day, in-person conference filled with valuable resources and networking opportunities that will expand your understanding of how you can be leaders in counseling for career pathways.

Save-the-Date: SDCOE Middle School CTE Symposium


Join the San Diego County Office of Education and its partners to learn how to develop middle school career technical education (CTE) pathway programs at the 2024 Middle School CTE Engagement Symposium. This free event will take place Feb. 8 at the Marina Village Conference Center. Middle school CTE administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff who support career pathways development are encouraged to attend.

K-16 Grant Reminders

For K-12 LEAs:

  • Individual district application links are out and work plans are due November 3rd. Please remember that in order to receive funds, you must sign an MOU with CCGI by December 31, 2023. Please reach out to Jamie to discuss any questions or concerns regarding the RFA or CCGI.

For Community Colleges:

  • Individual college application links have been sent out and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Don't forget to check the box on the summary page so we know when to review your proposal. K-16 funds are for projects that do not qualify for regional SWP sector project funds.

For Universities:

  • Individual university application links have been sent out and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Don't forget to check the box on the summary page so we know when to review your proposal.
