Outreach Grant Partner Moment

"Last week a small contingent (consisting of Walker Stockley and Ron and Dawn Hartman) from Grace served a delicious dinner to the ladies staying at The Life House Women’s Shelter Cottage. Walker created a wonderful meal with his world-famous pulled pork and chicken, including banana, strawberry, Nilla Wafer pudding for dessert!"

Last week several of our Youth participated in our first "Youth Service & Fun Day"!
Here are some highlights:
Our youth started the day serving one of our Outreach Grant Partners, Bethel Men's Shelter.

The Youth got a tour and spent several hours sorting through donations while learning about the men served at Bethel and their needs.

The Before: still sleepy but listening and learning - During: sorting and labeling - and After: glad to have done good work with Pr. Emily Sutton!
Another part of the Day was a CPR certification class. Pr. Gregg joined Pr. Rachel and the Youth and they all learned adult, child, and infant CPR, how to assist someone who is choking, and how to use an AED.

We are very grateful to Frances Stockley for coordinating this class & to Lorraine Calwile for teaching!
This year's SC Synod Assembly was held in Columbia, SC from June 8-10.

Josh LeClerg was one of our voting members who attended. Click HERE to read about Josh's experience at this year's SC Synod Assembly.

Josh especially invites us to watch the Synod's mission support video (click the video image to view).

Grace Member / Friend Memories
One of the ways we will be celebrating the rich history of Grace this year is to hear about its impact on the lives of its
members.

These do not need to be very long - even a single paragraph would be fine. Simply share with us your perspective, the way your story and Grace's story came together, and we will publish these remembrances in these Grace Notes publications throughout the year.
Email your memories to 100years@gracerockhill.com

Centennial Temple Talks

As a part of Grace's 100th Anniversary Celebration, we will share a Temple Talk highlighting Grace's history through the decades on the first Sunday of each month, from March through December.

Click on the links below to read our Temple Talks, about Grace in the 1920s - 60s.
Communion, Anyone?

As you may have noticed, we are sending Home Communion out to those who wish to receive the sacrament but cannot easily attend worship on Sunday mornings. Would you like to receive Communion in this way? Do you know someone who might? Please let the Church Office know, so we can meet these needs and extend God's Grace in this way!
