Time passes so quickly, we blink, and a decade goes by. It seems like only yesterday we were formulating plans for a much-needed dental clinic in Topeka to help those who were struggling to afford proper dental care. It requires discipline to be able to seize the day when you’re driven forward by a Mission, working endlessly to find avenues to continue the work, but also trying to broaden horizons to reach more people. Stopping to look back over our shoulder and appreciate how far we’ve come feels like a luxury, but a necessary one.  

That is why on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Marian Dental Clinic stopped to smell the roses and celebrated its 35 Year Anniversary of serving the Topeka, Kansas area. The numerous success stories accomplished over the years are evident in the smiling faces of the individuals we have helped, and it was time to applaud the dedicated work of Marian Dental Clinic. Over 100 people stopped by to tour the dental clinic, connect with local organizations on hand, and meet the tooth fairy who provided games and fun for families and their children. In addition to drinks, snacks and cake provided by Marian Dental, El Tejon restaurant served food, and coffee was donated by Milk and Honey Café in Topeka.

Community Federal Credit Union – Located adjacent to Marian Dental and offers opportunities for joining a credit union. https://www.comfedcu.org/  

Washburn Nurses – As part of a school program, student nurses conduct basic health checks for patients prior to dental appointments. https://www.washburn.edu/
