ACMS Virtual Town Hall - Free Members Only Event

Featuring: Abridge - AI for Medical Conversations

The ACMS is pleased to welcome Pittsburgh based Shiv Rao, MD for an exclusive members-only Virtual Town Hall event. Dr. Rao is the co-founder and CEO of Abridge, a healthcare conversation company that uses cutting-edge NLP (natural language processing) and generative AI to bring context and understanding to every medical conversation. Abridge technology is used by thousands of individual clinicians (who may be employed by a system or self-employed) to reduce burnout and improve patient understanding.


All Town Hall attendees will receive a free two-week trial of of Abridge.


Registration is required and a zoom link will be sent upon registration.

ACMS Women in Healthcare Committee Announces Guest Speaker for August 9th Networking Event


The newly created ACMS Women in Healthcare committee will welcome Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, MD, MEd, MPPM, FACOG as the guest speaker for the August 9th Women in Healthcare Committee Kickoff Event at The Longue Vue Club.


Dr. Larkins-Pettigrew is an international diversity, inclusion and equity expert, healthcare strategist and maternal/infant health care equity advocate. She is the Senior Vice President and Enterprise Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for Allegheny Health Network / Highmark Health. ACMS Board of Directors & Delegation Nominations


Nominations for the 2024 Board of Directors and 2024 Delegation are now open. Nominations will be accepted through August 15, 2023. The ACMS Election will take place during the first week of November and the new board members and delegates will be announced following certification at the December 5, 2023, Board of Directors meeting. The terms of the new Board members will begin on January 1, 2024.
