Congratulations to Ernie Berry on the opening of Good Shepherd Kennels at 3650 East Township Road 164, outside of Green Springs!

Ernie Berry has been working with his own guide dogs for 25 years, and he has developed the skills needed to train dogs. Ernie’s philosophy is to fully train a dog and then teach their owners how to maintain the training.

Good Shepherd Kennels offers boarding for dogs of all sizes. Dogs that weigh 40 pounds and under cost $30 per night. Dogs 40 to 100 pounds are $34 per night. Dogs over 100 are $38 per night. Berry offers various specials, including discounts for additional dogs, long stays and second visits. Dogs who are in the training program can board at no charge.

Berry’s rural homestead has plenty of space for boarding and training and has built four indoor kennels and added an approximately 5,000-square-foot outdoor run.

Welcome new member, St. Joseph Catholic Church!

In 1845, the German Catholic settlers in Tiffin requested permission to form a separate congregation from the Italian Catholics. In May of that year, the parishioners bought two acres of land at the intersection of Melmore and South Washington Streets. They built a church building and schoolhouse. Thus, St. Joseph Catholic Church was founded, and Father Brunner said the first Mass on August 24, 1845.

St. Joseph Catholic Church’s mission is to bring people to Christ, share Christ’s love here on earth, and strive for eternal life with God in Heaven. When visiting St. Joseph, you will be greeted with a smile. The staff and parishioners strive to be compassionate and will go above and beyond to help people in the community.

They are well-known for their St. Joseph Festival, held annually on the second full weekend of July. They also recently hired a faith formation director to help strengthen the faith of young adults and are looking forward to helping the youth in our community.

Welcome new member, Penn Station East Coast Subs!

Penn Station's origins can be traced back to Jeff Osterfeld's first venture in 1983 as owner/operator of "Jeffrey's Delicatessen" in the Dayton Mall in Dayton, Ohio. Here, the roots of the "ownership mentality" began to form for the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Station, Inc. Jeff saw first-hand the impact his presence in the store had on product quality, customer service and sales.

On a trip to Philadelphia, Jeff was particularly attracted by the popularity of the cheesesteak sandwich. This trip prompted an addition to the deli's menu of a variation of the Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich he had sampled on the south side of Philly. This sandwich became an instant hit with customers.

Jeff took his innovative ideas on quick service dining to downtown Cincinnati where he opened his first Penn Station® Restaurant in 1985. In 1988, Jeff's vision for an upscale, quick -service dining experience revolving around "fresh ingredients and display cooking" was formulated into a franchising concept. They've since grown to over 310 restaurants throughout 15 states.

Join the Seneca Regional Chamber Ambassadors as they host a Ribbon Cutting and open house this Thursday, November 16 at 4 PM to celebrate the opening of TPC Food Service, Inc.’s new facility at 401 Wall Street in Tiffin.

Prior to this move TPC was under two separate roofs, one for dry storage and the other for office space and their refrigerated and freezer items. Since moving to the new facility are now under one roof housing all their products in one location, making a smoother and much easier operation not only for their warehouse workers, but every aspect of their business. Their square footage has also dramatically increased to 265,000 sq ft leaving room for additional growth opportunities.

Since moving into the new location, they haven't stopped investing in the facility to improve the business, new office spaces, new concrete in the warehouse, painting, and more. They are excited to show the community these updates on the tour of the building during the ceremony.

Join the Seneca Regional Chamber Ambassadors as they host a Ribbon Cutting in partnership with the City of Tiffin's Engineers Office to celebrate the reopening of the Ella Street Bridge in Tiffin, on Tuesday, November 28 at 4 PM.



The existing Ella Street Sandusky River Bridge was originally constructed in 1914 and was rehabilitated in 1979. An impressive 4,000 vehicles pass over the bridge daily, so this project has been on the City’s radar for many years. In 2022, the City of Tiffin finalized the design and solicited bids for the construction and construction administration and inspection contracts for the Ella Street River Bridge Replacement Project.
