Dear Angels,

Welcome back from your summer! We were so excited to welcome you back to our super charged August meeting last week with lots of in-person updates from so many of our beneficiaries.

There has been a LOT of work behind the scenes working on our CCU donations, invitations to the Ball, finalizing sponsors and details for the Poker Party, collecting amazing Silent Auction items, purchasing, and collecting Casino Gifts and selling Chance Tickets! Also, as a quick reminder, Chance tickets are all online, and our Chance Ticket committee is working diligently to get all tickets sold so please help spread the word!

It was super exciting to see Dawn Darling get “winged” as our 2024 Vice Chair Elect. Dawn will be an amazing Vice Chair, and, together with Kellie Terhune Neely, these two will be an unstoppable force as two highly devoted, passionate, and talented Angels. Congratulations!

In closing, Carrie and I have such gratitude for your hard work, passion, and endless dedication. Thank you for all you do.

Welcome back! We hope you had an amazing summer! The CCU team has been very busy, and we are excited to announce that we have raised $462,722.43!

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee has launched the Grant Inclusion Survey to allow Angel Charity to better support our fantastic grant writers with the data they need.

If you have not already done so, please fill out the anonymous Demographics/Inclusion Survey which can be found on the Angel Member Page. It takes less than one minute to complete!

Also, our next DEI Committee meeting will be on August 17 at 5:30 at the Angel Office. Please join us if you have any questions or input.

It’s Time to Sell Those Chance Tickets!

Sell your Chance Tickets today! We will have our final $50 Gift Card drawing at the General Meeting in September. Selling all your Chance Tickets before the start of the September Meeting will qualify you for the drawing of a $50 gift card to Sullivan’s Steakhouse. Over 40 members have sold all their Chance Tickets. Thank you so much!

Congrats to Pattie Feder who won the $50 Prep & Pastry gift card at the August Meeting!

And … at the October General Meeting, the 10 Angels who have sold the most Chance Tickets will have their names entered into a raffle for $200! You don’t want to miss out on that!

Bring in Your Casino Gifts!

The Casino Gifts Committee August Meeting has a new time and date – Tuesday, August 22nd at 5:00pm at the Angel office. If you’re on the Casino Gifts Committee (Cherub and Active members), please plan to attend for a fun time of tagging and packing lots and lots of donated gifts!

Our goal is to have all gifts received by October 1st at the Angel office. Please leave merchandise donations on the designated tables. Certificates go into the Casino Gifts box on the wall. We will also have an area near Check-In at the September General Meeting for you to drop off your gifts – with the contract attached - if you just haven’t been able to get to the Angel office.

If you meet or exceed your Casino Gift membership requirement by the end of August, you will be entered into a raffle for a beautiful gift basket chock full of fun items, including wine and Angel Charity gear. The winner will be drawn at the September General Meeting. There are 39 members currently eligible for the raffle. Will you join them?

An easy way for members not on the committee to meet their commitment is to do a buy out at $50 per gift, which our Purchasing Chair, Karen Osborne, will use to purchase amazing gifts. Follow this link for to do a buy out (payment) which is located in the member area of the website.

If would like to solicit a person or business that isn’t currently assigned to you on the Approved & Proposed Solicitation List, make a request on the spreadsheet for approval.

The Not-So-Silent Silent Auction is Coming Up!

We already have some amazing auction items so THANK YOU!! How would you like a luxurious vacation to the Caribbean? What about fabulous jewelry? All that and more will be available. If there is something that you know a donor would like to see in our Silent Auction this year, please contact Tana Lopez or Tracy Gaspari to share more about it and how we can secure it for the auction. Active and Ten Plus members can receive Casino Gifts credit for a Silent Auction donation. Ask us how!
