Weekly Newsletter 08/25/2023

Dear Parents,

Now that we are in week 2 of school, I am super impressed that 99% of our students have adapted to our program so well. That is in part due to our stellar staff to the love and caring for your children each and every day. There are not enough kind words I can say that would ever thank them enough for all their hard work. Thank you to the parents of children in VPK and our K-2 program who have gotten their children to school on time for the most part.  Please have it as your goal to have all kids who attend in Purple, Orange, and Brown to be on the playground NO LATER THAN 8:50. Earlier is even better so that they have time to unwind on the playground before starting their school day. Kids in our elementary school programs should be IN THEIR SEATS, no later than 8:20 to ensure a successful day.

As we allow students time to orient to new routines, in some cases we are slowly phasing in our enrichments. We do this so the kids can learn the class routines. So far, all students are participating in the weekly music program. Our kids in K-2 are doing soccer. In October our Rainbow, Orange, Purple, and Brown Door classes will begin the soccer program.

Next week families who signed up for Karate and Ballet will begin that "afterschool" enrichment. If you signed up your child, your Brightwheel account will be billed $16 weekly. As the program is limited, please note that if your child is absent, credit is not issued as the Karate and Ballet teachers will be paid for the number of children enrolled. Obviously, when there are holidays or closures, credits will be issued. A few spaces remain for children ages 3 and up if you still wish to participate.

Family is so very important. I am reminded of this this weekend. ON A PERSONAL NOTE...I will be welcoming 60 family members to my home to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. I am so very excited about this. My mom has been a very active member of the Kids For Kids Academy family since we opened. She helps me with bookkeeping and personal assistant tasks and also reads and edits all the weekly letters. Mom, I know you are reading this as you edit. You are such a special part of my life and am so glad you are also my "Employee of the Year..." Happy 80th Birthday.

Have a wonderful weekend with your family, I know I will have a fabulous weekend with mine!
