Happy November! Can you believe how quickly this year has flown by? Now it's time to grab a pen and mark your calendars with all the festive, winter happenings that are just around the corner.
Halloween may be over, but Día de los Muertos is just beginning. Tomorrow, November 2nd, join El Centro Amistad for their inaugural Día de los Muertos Procession. This vibrant celebration will begin by viewing altars at The New Local's Annex (713 Pearl Street) at 5:15 PM. At 5:30 PM the procession will make its way to the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall. The first snow of the season has fallen and we are dreaming of a district-wide winter wonderland. Light Up the Holidays returns this month with a seasonal array of festivities made just for YOU.

Pearl Street Stampedes
Meet on the 1300 block for the last two Stampedes of the season!

Celebrating the Buffs downtown has been one of the highlights of the year! Reminisce on the past few months by checking out the 2023 Stampede photo gallery. Then, get ready for two final weeks of football festivities at the final two Pearl Street Stampedes of the season.
This Friday, November 3rd is CU's Homecoming! Join members of the CU Golden Buffalo Marching Band, the CU Spirit Squad and Chip, for a traditional homecoming hoorah! Learn more about CU Homecoming festivities here.
Then, Friday, November 10th, bid the Pearl Street Stampedes farewell at the final Stampede of the season. Meet us on the 1300 block for performances and of course, the parade led by Stephen Tebo's 1948 vintage golden fire truck. Sko Buffs!

Switch on the Holidays

Sunday, November 19th at 5 PM, spark up the holiday season at downtown's annual, Switch on the Holidays! Every year, beautiful holiday lighting illuminates the district along Pearl Street, the Civic Area and around the Boulder County Courthouse!
Enjoy performances from members of the Boulder Ballet, Boulder Chorale and very special appearances from Santa, Mrs. Claus and Freezie the Snowman. Don't miss out on this glowing community experience, learn more here.

Snow Much Fun AR Experiences

Our special friends from the North Pole are stopping by the Pearl Street Mall, the East End and the West End and the Civic Area/Library from Sunday, November 19th through January 31st!
Explore downtown through your smartphone camera lens and participate in the Snow Much Fun AR experiences. Each block of the Pearl Street Mall, East End, West End and Civic Area/Library will have signage with a unique QR code. Scan the code using your smartphone camera, have some fun in Instagram with unique filters!
This year, Frosty kARen is back along with the dancing Gingerbread, an amazing orca, adorable penguins and more friends. Learn more about this visually entertaining experience here. Download the self-guided tour map.

Find Freezie

Ready for a fun, frozen adventure throughout the district? Find Freezie is back! From Sunday, November 19th through Saturday, December 9th locate Freezie the Snowman for a chance to be entered to win one of several $25-$50 gift cards from some of your favorite downtown retailers.
This scavenger hunt is for everyone to enjoy and play as many times as they want! Search the participating businesses for a plush toy Freezie, scan the QR code with your phone camera to pull up a Google form and fill out where Freezie was found. Then, be entered for a chance to win a gift card! Don't have a smart phone? Fill out a paper form at the Visitor Information Center!
Winners will be invited to pick up their prize at Freezie Fest on Saturday, December 9th. Happy searching!

Firefly Handmade returns to the Pearl Street Mall for their holiday market Saturday, November 11th through Sunday, November 12th from 11 AM-5 PM.
Firefly artisans will line the Pearl Street Mall to share their collections of art, jewelry, home decor and other fine goods and crafts. Not only is this the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts (for your loved ones or yourself), you will also be supporting local artisans!
