California natives are beautiful and earth-friendly - they not only add color and texture to your landscape, but also play an important role in preserving our local ecosystems.

Block label showing scientific name / common name / California native
Q: How do I know which of your plants are California natives?
A: We label them!
All of our plants are labeled and organized by scientific name. Some of the block labels (the larger labels you will see as your browse through the nursery) also provide additional information, such as the common name and if the plant is a California native and/or drought-tolerant.
To save time, you can do your research ahead of time at an online resource such as this list from the Theodore Payne Foundation. At the nursery, you can browse for the plants yourself (we have hand carts available for use in-store), or head over to our front desk and place an order for will-call or delivery.

Love working with plants? Interested in joining a team of talented nursery workers and horticulturists? We are now hiring for multiple nursery worker positions. To apply, please send a resume to cwnemployment@gmail.com or call (408) 239-0589 and ask to speak to Gail or Robert.
