We're Excited to Share Unforgettable Moments from the 2023 E3 Leadership Conclave

The buzz is out! The E3 Leadership Conclave took place last week in DC and it was an epic success! Against the backdrop of the luxurious Salamander Washington DC hotel, the four-day event transcended expectations, forging a plethora of insightful conversations, unparalleled networking, and game changing

education for invited travel and tourism leaders.

An unprecedented gathering of multigenerational Black leaders met for the inaugural Equity through Economics, Education and Equality Leadership Conclave (E3 Leadership Conclave) on August 6-9, 2023 at Salamander Washington DC.

Future of Black Tourism (FOBT) brought together 25 industry leaders committed to working collaboratively to access and create economic opportunities for building a Black tourism ecosystem that prepares and positions underrepresented Black-led travel & tourism organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to achieve sustainability, scalability and profitability through travel & tourism.

Day 1: Conclave Kick-Off Highlights

During the Conclave kick-off, Conclave delegates had the great fortune to engage in an intimate fireside chat with Ambassador Shabazz, eldest daughter of Malcolm X and Ambassador-at-large for Belize for more than 20 years. Ambassador Shabazz dropped a lot of rich gems on leadership, collaboration, and poured wisdom into leaders to help set the stage for the work ahead for the FOBT collaborative.

Unfortunately, inclement weather and a flight cancellation prohibited guest speaker Le'Kiesha French, CEO, Preneurology from attending the E3 Leadership Conclave in DC. Stephanie Jones led a virtual fireside chat with Ms. French discussing ecosystem building and wealth and value creation for Black-led movements as pictured above.

Welcome Dinner Hosted by Destination DC at The Park
