Weekly Newsletter 05/21/2023

Dear Parents,

This week our staff spent their time not only teaching your beautiful children, but shining as bright as all the stars in the sky for our 2 day site visit from NAEYC. Now we sit back and wait for the decision report on our 5 year National Accreditation. No matter the decision, I stand by the belief that I have the kindest, brightest, most loving and talented staff on the planet.

This is further evidenced by your generosity with regard to the AMAZING spread for the Purple and Orange Door Sponsored teacher appreciation lunch and the monies turned in for the Year End Teacher Gifts. Note if you asked us to bill your Brightwheel account that has been done. We will continue to collect until next Friday. I know that staff will be humbled by your love and kindness toward them.

Next week we will begin wrapping up our school year program leading up to our VPK Graduation and K/1 Awards Assemblies. Parent of children in VPK and K/1 please take note of the large flyer on the front information board with all the details regarding time, location, and dress code for the events.

Our other classes are putting together year end packets with work samples they have saved for your throughout the course of this school year so you can see the growth over time. Kids who will be going to VPK in the fall, will get their journal to go home as they will get a new journal in VPK. For those children who have been here since age 1, that journal has been passed on from room to room and you will love to see how your child has grown over the years. For kids not moving on to VPK, those journals will be passed on to your child's next classroom. If your child is leaving the school, please let the teacher know through Brightwheel so that they will send that special journal home. NOTE: VPK and K/1 kids will get their journals in their year end packet.

Next week will be the final weekly letter. Additionally, since we have booked so many fieldtrips with the Science Museum we have been gifted a FREE on site fieldtrip that will take place on Monday May 22nd for our VPK and K/1 kids. When the arrive, if we are able to squeeze Rainbow and Orange in, we certainly will.
