A Conversation with Sigal: My Aliya from Ethiopia

Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00PM at TCS in Westport

Sigal Kanotopsky has covered an unusual and impressive distance in both her personal and professional journeys.

Born in a small village in Ethiopia’s rural north, she made aliya at the age of five, having walked three months to meet the flight that took her to Israel.

Today, Sigal is Northeast Regional Director for The Jewish Agency for Israel. Based in Philadelphia, she is responsible for building relationships between the programs and professionals. 

Israeli Consulate General Ambassador Meron Visits Westport

Federation sponsored a wonderful evening of lively conversation with Israeli Ambassador Meron Reuben, Rabbi Michael Friedman and Rabbi Jeremy Wiederhorn.

The evening began with Connecticut Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff's presentation to the Ambassador of a proclamation honoring Israel's 75 birthday.

While the Holocaust Resource Center will not officially open until September 2023, our volunteers are already hard at work sorting photographs and information.

We have hours of Fairfield County survivor video testimony that must be digitized and hundreds of letters that need to be read categorized.

If you are interested in volunteering to help sort Holocaust information, we'd love to have you!
