Community Meal:

Service is the giving of one’s time and talent to support the life and ministry of the parish and the community. It is one of the four pillars of Stewardship, and was taught to us by Jesus through the greatest commandment to LOVE one another.

On Monday, November 27th the Faculty of St. Peter Catholic School will be hosting a community meal for those in need in our community. They will be preparing, serving, and delivering meals from the Monsignor Hoog kitchen and dining area. Our hope is to serve as many people as possible in person, but we also plan to deliver meals to various locations to those unable to reach our location.

We will be posting this information in a variety of places but welcome your assistance in spreading the word. If you are aware of places or people in need, please contact us so that we can include this in our service. If you would like to help us, we would like to have items available on site or create care packages to deliver with the meal. Needed items would include personal care items such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, etc.

We will accept any additional monetary contributions, but we are having a dollar dress down day on Tuesday, October 31st to help support our day of service.

If you have questions about how to help you contact Mr. Veit at school 636-8922 ext. 242 or [email protected] or contact the school office staff.

Thank you for all your support!

The Central Missouri Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all of their sacrifices. The group transports our heroes from throughout Central Missouri to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials at no cost to them. The Central Missouri Honor Flight is funded by donations from individuals, organizations and businesses.

St. Peter Catholic School will be raising funds to help send veterans on the next Honor Flight with the purchase of a special spirit wear shirt. A portion of each shirt sold will be donated to the Central Missouri Honor Flight on Veterans Day. This spirit wear shirt is not just for St. Peter Catholic School families; please feel free to share the link with friends and family. The order deadline is October 20th in hopes that shirts will be available to wear for Veterans Day, November 11th.

Meet Our Staff

Mrs. Dallmeyer: I am so excited to be in my 27th year of teaching second grade! What can I say…it’s an amazing age! I taught one year at St. Andrew in Tipton and the rest have been here at St. Peter. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Early Childhood from Lincoln University. I also have a Masters in Education from Lincoln Universtiy. I have three children. All three of them were St. Peter Catholic School graduates! Hannah is a teacher at Moreau Heights. Hailey is a nursing student at Lincoln University. Jude is a Junior at Helias. We are members of St Peter Church. When I am not busy with them and their activities I enjoy refinishing furniture and giving pieces a second chance or a new purpose. I also enjoy reading, going on walks with our dog Lucy, and working in the yard.

Mrs. Dallmeyer recently received the Christian Teacher of the Year Award from the Herzog Foundation at the Excellence in Christian Education Awards Gala in Washington D.C.

Living our Faith Through Service

Service is a public expression of our faith. It’s how we express our belief in God and live out Jesus’s teachings. With this month’s podcast, we conclude our four-part series with Fr. Stephen Jones about the Four Pillars of Stewardship — focusing on the concept of service.

This series is designed to help us deepen our understanding of the spirituality of stewardship as we approach the Catholic Stewardship Renewal in October.

Catholic Stewardship Renewal/Time and Talent Form

TO BE AN “ACTIVE” CATHOLIC STEWARD MEANS:

  • To Pray: that is, attend Mass faithfully in the parish on weekends and Holy Days.
  • To Participate: that is, to use one’s time and talents to strengthen the parish community and advance the Gospel.
  • To Sacrificially Give: that is, pledge and remain current on a tithe of financial first fruits to support the life and ministries of the parish. The goal is 8% to the parish and 2% to other worthy charities.
