AFTCO has been a major supporter of IBN for years. The use of the AFTCO BASS BUGGY during the recent 10K was a success. 134 teams bought 490 bass to the scales with only one lost fish. The use of the AFTCO professional release boat helped make the 10K the largest one day team tournament on the upper Mississippi River.

In 2024 IBN will increase focus on fish care with a plan to use donations, grants and other funds to improve our fish care at events and to make sure this resource is protected. IBN applied for and received a grant from AFTCO towards a release system trailer.

After much study and expert consultation, IBN is working on a plan to obtain a release system trailer to aid in conserving our bass in the fisheries. Water temps, water quality and oxygen are the keys to protecting this resource and returning the bass to the rivers and lakes in the best possible condition.

IBN received several bids for a 1000 gallon, dual compartment insulated tank and determined that Oquawka Boats is the company due to their quality of work and reputation to manufacture our tank system. Total cost for the tank, trailer and accessories is $31,000.

Couple of reminders about the state tourney Sep 6-8 at PDC.

Off the water on Sep5 at 3pm. Check in on the 5th at Gremore Marine from 4-530 with all reps having a short meeting at 530. Draw and rules will be at 6pm.

Top two boaters and non boaters auto qualify straight to the 2024 Nationals. Next 10 boaters and priority entry into the 2024 regional qualifiers.
