First Branch News!

Wow! What a week in First Branch! Please note in addition to facebook we have daily updates through instagram. Instagram will give you glimpse into some smaller moments of our day. You can follow one, both, or none at all. We will also give you an update in our Friday News of important info.

Monday, we kicked off state testing for our 3rd and 4th grade students and continued much of the week. Students worked hard and stayed focused. Kudos to TCS faculty go adjusting schedules so we could ensure older students had time for essentials and breaks outside.

Tuesday, our First Branch Board met for their monthly meeting.

Wednesday, we had our visiting author at CPS to speak about her life as a writer and her book Dress Coded. (This visit was made possible by Community Grants within WRVSU.)

Thursday, our 5th-6th grade Bridge Up students performed at the Chelsea Town Hall A Midsummer Night's Dream for all to see before hitting the road on Friday to perform at Northern Stage in White River Junction.

Friday, CPS participated in Green Up Day activities to support Tunbridge and Chelsea communities.

We hope everyone does something locally to support "Green Up Day" today. Many hands make light work, and today we finally have a day of full sunshine!

Please note, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Many thanks to the Friends of First Branch for organizing some special ways of honoring our teachers. Please also encourage your student to write a brief note, email, draw a picture, or take a moment to thank their teachers. Gifts are, of course, kind; however, the sincere appreciation of the words thank you in a conversation, through a note, or art goes a long way.

If you would like to support the week further, and have not had a chance to review ways to do so. If there are no spots left we can gladly connect you and find a way to further support the mission.

The Friends of First Branch School Club

is Organizing an extravagant Staff Appreciation Week.

Please consider signing up to help thank our Staff for all of their hard work and dedication over the last year.
