These High Holy Days are about our Temple Emanu-El family and community coming together, to start the year anew, and looking forward to a productive, health and happy New Year. There's no better way to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, than to volunteer at these High Holy Days. You'll get the feeling over already having a mitzvah under your belt.


We have opportunities on each of our 4 service days, with a wide variety of options to fit your need and abilities.

Kabbalat Shabbat Patio Service

Come kick off the month of High Holy Days with our Shabbat Service this evening, led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Shafritz. It is one of the last Patio Shabbat Services for this calendar year. If you haven't seen the brand new renovation, now's your chance!


Our gift shop will be open as well at the conclusion of the service.

We'll spend a few hours hanging out, playing games, and getting to know everyone. Strike Brewing is both kid and dog friendly, so bring the family!

First Day of Religious School Pancake Breakfast

Erev Selichot Service: Movie & Discussion

The Selichot Service a time for reflection that will help prepare you spiritually for the upcoming holidays. Selichot are penitential prayers said before and during the High Holy Days and other fast days throughout the year. The prayers are read and meditations considered as individuals are encouraged to reflect on the past year and the changes they wish to make in the upcoming one.

Kever Avot

Kever Avot is the custom of visiting the graveside of parents or close relatives and praying there. The theme of the prayers is peaceful eternal rest for the departed and an invocation for God's aid to the living by merit of the pious deeds of the deceased. Graveside at Home of Peace Cemetery. We invite you and your family to attend.

Lunch & Learn: High Holy Days Prep with the Clergy

Come chat with Rabbi Magat & Cantor Shafritz about High Holy Days preparation, and everything that goes into creating the service and experience. It's a great insight of how the clergy decide which prayers, readings, and other material is crucial for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and the other High Holy Days.

Maui Wildfire Assistance

We are so heart broken to see all of the devastation, sadness, and lives lost due to this horrific wildfire. As a Jewish Community, we have the opportunity to come together to support not only the Jewish Community in Maui, but all of those who were affected by this tragedy.
