And Now a Word for Our Sponsors

Charles Bruce Foundation is all about upholding traditions, and the free annual holiday Coloring and Caring Book tops that list. In keeping with the tradition, the seventh release of this book is in the works as we speak. Just as important in keeping this tradition is that free price tag, and for that we need sponsors (because nothing really ever comes for free). Although we expect many of our traditional sponsors to return, we always welcome new partners. If you would like to help us bring joy to young people, please use the link below to contact us.

Kicking Into Space

There are times when forces just naturally, inexplicably come together. Such is the case of the collaboration between Jason Seaux and the Charles Bruce Foundation on their latest graphic novel. Jason had dreamed of bringing a space comic to life for years - decades even! After witnessing the birth of our new mascot, WAM! the Spaceman, Jason's vision was rekindled, and a perfect match was made! Even better, we are offering you the opportunity to share in this inspiration. Through our Kickstarter program running until November 13, you can receive a wide variety of rewards including digital, printed, very limited ashcan, holographic, and limited variant covers of the book. If you prefer the art of the matter, you can receive hand drawn pages, color prints, or signed artist work. Most importantly, you could benefit a young person by getting copies of the book in their hands. For details on receiving these rewards and helping us to fund this project, use the link below to visit our official Kickstarter page.

American Read-It

It is amazing to think that one of the most important books to be written on the subject of sensible gun control is now only days away from shipping to your homes with a publication date of October 24th. We had an extensive write-up in last month's newsletter about American Roulette, but now you have the opportunity to hold the book in your hand and experience the shared vision of its creators. We are also offering you opportunities to spend time with several of the authors to get your books signed and your questions answered.

I'm Max Goller, the CBF Board member who gets these newsletters out to you each month, and I want you to know how important I think this book is. I try to find a book every holiday season to give to friends and family members, and this is hands down my choice for this year. Having said that, this book does demand a trigger warning for its readers, as noted in the testimonial of Retired Executive Director of the Tarrant (Fort Worth, TX) Baptist Association, Thomas Law. “American Roulette is an amazingly realistic book. It made me feel like I was living this chaotic day in the life of Anytown, USA. In fact, it was so real I needed to work through some personal trauma before I wrote this review...I would encourage every American to read this book." You can read the entire review and other important testimonials using the Book Praise link below. More importantly, you can pre-order your own copy of the book for delivery upon its official release date by using the American Roulette Pre-Order link below that.

Still Searching

The Coloring and Caring Book referred to earlier in this newsletter is only one of the Charles Bruce Foundation's efforts to promote and encourage young people. Going back in time, yet again, we told you in our August newsletter about the latest initiative to create a Kid's Anthology book using the writings and art of young people up to the age of 18. So far, we have conducted a few Zoom sessions with young people interested in receiving mentoring for their personal efforts toward the anthology. It has been exciting to share in the enthusiasm these students bring, but we have desire and space to assist so many more. If you know of anyone up to the age of 18 who would like to participate in our anthology mentoring Zoom meetings held the second Tuesday (4:00-5:00 pm) and the fourth Saturday (2:00-3:00 pm) of each month, please encourage them to sign up using the form found in the link below.
