October Beekeeping Tips

This month there is little to no egg laying in the hive. Bees tend to form their winter cluster at around 50 degrees Fahrenheit, usually starting in the middle of the month. On warm days, the bees venture out looking for food but with our colder weather upon us, make sure you have proper feed.

We have Pro-Sweet, and winter

pollen patties.

Make sure to prep for winter, remove extra supers and queen excluders. Secure the hive cover and get ready to

insulate your hive.

We have Bee Cozy items.
