Network studies have very high recruitment and retention of participants

In a recent publication, Dr. Rahma Mungia, assistant director to the Network’s Southwest node, and co-authors detail the specific approaches used to attract and retain both practitioners and patients to the Network studies, providing a valuable resource for other researchers planning similar studies.

STUDY UPDATES

POPS study finishes patient recruitment with a 99.7%  recruitment rate

The POPS study team and all of us at the National Dental PBRN wish to thank all 160 practitioners and their staff who participated in the study. We greatly appreciate your efforts in successfully enrolling 3,139 patients across the United States. Thanks to your invaluable contributions, we concluded enrollment of patients three months ahead of schedule! Data analysis will now begin, and we look forward to sharing the study findings soon. Congratulations for another successful Network study!

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to contribute to this pioneering effort and help improve dental implant therapy outcomes! By enrolling just 10 patients with dental implants at the time of prosthesis placement and following them for three years, you can contribute to this groundbreaking study.

PAAS is a randomized controlled trial testing the effectiveness of adjunctive antibiotics versus placebo for the treatment of periodontitis. We need 36 practitioners from the South Central, South Western, and Western regions to enroll patients with periodontitis undergoing scaling and root planing. Contact us if you are interested!
