This month's spotlight is on our Mind-Builders Stage Band!
Mind-Builders Stage Band Strikes Gold!
The Mind-Builders Stage Band made a triumphant debut at the 2023 High Note Festival, held at Six Flags Great Adventure, NJ last month.
Despite being the final band to perform that day, the Stage Band delivered a stunning jazz repertoire, including pieces by Louis Prima, Roy Hargove, and Michael League. The judges, all accomplished music teachers, awarded the band with the highest scores of the day, granting them a "Superior" rating and a coveted Gold Trophy. The band's incredible director Christopher Palmer and talented soloists, Nathaniel Wright, Dujon Hayden, James Moore, Hyrum Hernandez-Martinez, Felipe Marrel, and Jeremiah Christian, dazzled the audience with their improvised melodies.
Congratulations Mind-Builders Stage Band! Your victory was well deserved!
Interested in hearing our band live? Come see them at Morris Plaza on June 10th at 3:00PM.

$5/hr Dance Rehearsal Space at Mind-Builders!
Spread The Word!
Did you know that Mind-Builders received funding from Dance/NYC to provide subsidized dance rehearsal space? The funding allows us to provide $5/hr private studio space! We believe this is an amazing opportunity for dancers in our community to have a safe, comfortable and most importantly, affordable space to practice their forms of movement. So if you know anyone that can benefit from this, please share this information with them. We really want our community to take advantage of this opportunity.
