Calendars and Information

There are two main Calendars for our district.

The most important way to receive timely MS information is to read THIS Newsletter each week! Click Here to review previous issues or bookmark for future reference.
The School Calendar is the Board approved calendar for 2023-24. It is a summary of all of the important dates.
Final Forms
We use FinalForms for academic, medical and athletic information. Your electronic signature is required each year to confirm your important information is up to date. Both students and parents must be read and digitally accept each form listed as soon as possible.

6th Grade Orientation, Schedule Pick -up and Supply Pick-up - August 21
Our 6th grade orientation is August 21 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Elementary School. Students will remain at the school during this time to pick up schedules, pick up supplies (if you ordered them through PTO), and get acclimated to middle school life. Our 8th grade student Navig8tors will also do some activities and answer any questions your student may have. PICTURE DAY will be on September 7th for 6th grade students.

Our counselors look at each student's history and preferences and devise a schedule for their first day. We have a 7 period course schedule. Our 6th grade Middle School Day is from 7:50 a.m. - 2:35 p.m. Students may begin to arrive at 7:30 a.m. They will report to their 1st period class. If your child is not sure where to go, please assure them that there will be plenty of help to get them there all they need to do is ask.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DROP OFFS:

  1. Enter the Elementary School (ES) driveway across from South Clippinger and take your first right.
  2. Follow the traffic pattern behind the gym and then loop back to the front of the wing. There will be school personnel there to greet you and your child.
  3. Please do not get out of the car and make sure to have students get out on the passenger side of the car. Staff will assist students.
  4. Follow the traffic pattern to exit the ES using the same driveway directly across from South Clippinger. See map to the side or Click Here.
If you are unable to attend, copies of the schedule will be available on the first day or our counselors will be able to email a copy of the schedule to you.

Please feel free to contact your child's counselor with any questions regarding schedules:

2022-23 Updated Cell Phone Policy
Students’ cell phones should not be used or seen at school (including classrooms, hallways, lunch, and recess) during school hours unless the student has received direct permission from a staff member. Smart watches with communication features can be worn, but should not be utilized to send messages, access social media, etc. during the school day.
Phones can be carried in pencil pouches, kept in lockers, in backpacks, etc. - but must remain out of sight at all times. Students can use their communication devices before school, after school, in the main office, or if given direct, specific permission by a staff member.

Additionally, for the safety of our students, headphones and earbuds (like “Airpods”) may not be worn during school unless a teacher has given students permission during a learning activity.

Personal communication devices and/or headphones may be collected by a staff member and sent to the front office for safekeeping until students are dismissed at the end of the day. If students use a personal technology device without permission for non-educational reasons (or in a way that does not demonstrate responsible use of technology) students will need to correct that behavior. Repeated non-compliance with teachers’ requests - regarding cell phones and devices but also other reasonable requests related or unrelated to technology - indicates a breakdown in respect and trust and will result in corrective attention.
School Supply Lists

Supplies that were ordered through the PTO will be delivered to your child schedule pick-up this year. School supplies can be picked up at orientation or the first day of school. Please leave the supplies at home until the teacher requests for them to bring in the materials. If you need a copy of the school supply list, please visit our MS website or Click Here.
