October 2023 - News and Events

Happy Fall!

Fall is here, and we have some exciting things happening!

USDA NIFA Grant Recipient Spotlight!

We have entered our second year of our USDA NIFA grant for students lacking veterinary education opportunities. As we work to provide more opportunity for students lacking veterinary science education we are excited to have an exceptional group of kids this cycle.

Help us welcome Denton Moore to the VSCP family!

Denton is in his Junior year of high school as a homeschool student. Denton is actively involved in his county’s 4-H program and enjoys participating in athletics. "I currently plan to attend West Texas A&M for my undergrad in either biology or animal science pre-vet. I plan to use my veterinary assistant certification to jumpstart my career as a vet, and help me get more education and experience others heading into vet school may not have," says Denton. "I have always had a natural empathy for animals. Animals are amazing and beautiful beings, and they play a massive role in mine and others lives. I believe they should have the best quality of life that we can provide them."

We wish him the best of luck.....join us in doing so!
