Kambiz Roghanchi, a second-year Human Services/Pre-Social Work major, has been named a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities working to advance the public purposes of higher education.

All-State Academic Team

RVCC students Olivia O’Donnell of Basking Ridge and Jordan Nussbaum of Hillsborough are among the 38 students from New Jersey’s 18 community colleges who have been named to the 2024 New Jersey All-State Academic Team.

Capstone Presentations

Ten Honors College students presented their independent Capstone Research Course projects during a recent symposium at the College.

Robeson Achievement Awards

Local students were honored for their achievements at the 33rd Annual Paul Robeson Youth Achievement Awards. The event was sponsored by the College’s Paul Robeson Institute for Ethics, Leadership and Social Justice.

Still Time to Take a Summer Class

It’s not too late to take a summer class at RVCC. A six-week session begins July 8. Summer is a great opportunity for college students to earn extra credits and save money and for high school juniors and seniors to jumpstart their college education.

Commencement 2024

RVCC awarded associate degrees and certificates to more than 1,100 graduates at its May commencement ceremony. Kareem McKenzie, who played for both the New York Jets and the New York Giants and is now a Nationally Certified Counselor, delivered the commencement address and received an honorary degree during the ceremony.

Summer Book Series

The RVCC Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies will present a virtual Summer Book Series beginning June 14 with Lilly Maier, author of Arthur and Lilly: The Girl and the Holocaust Survivor. The segments will be held via Zoom webinars and registration is required.
