DATE: Thursday, 5/18/23
TRAFFIC IMPACT:
One-way alternating traffic and lane closures will be in effect during nighttime operations throughout the week of 5/21/23. Delays may occur.
Motorists and motorcycles should exercise caution when driving on the milled roadway due to the grooved surface.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
This past week, work mainly consisted of installation of new traffic signal infrastructure at the Falls Roadd/Harbor Roadd/U.S Route 7 intersection.
Traffic sign installations continued in South Burlington.
Next Week:
Paving of the leveling course of asphalt will begin on Sunday night, 5/21 on Route 7 from the Bostwick Road/Marsett Road intersection and proceed north to the Bay Road/Executive Drive intersection in Shelburne. This is not the final course of asphalt.
Signal work at the Bostwick Rd./Marsett Rd. intersection will take place next week. In the early part of the week, crews will pull wire and install the new controller cabinet.
Once this has been completed, installation of the new signal mast arms will begin. This will take place off of the roadway and will be done during daytime work hours. No impacts to traffic expected.
It is anticipated that sidewalk repairs, shoulder widening, and drainage structure rehabilitation will begin next week during nighttime work hours.
Motorists and motorcycles should exercise caution when driving on the milled roadway due to the grooved surface and the dust it generates. Temporary pavement markings are in-place.
