Juneteenth - June 19, 2024

Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. This marks the date in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to share the news that the Civil War had ended, and enslaved people were now free.

Hello June!

"Summer has a flavor like no other. Always fresh and simmered in sunshine."

HELP WANTED

Non-Profit Agencies start planning for projects that our volunteers can help you with (painting, landscaping, cleaning, assembling, small building projects, etc).

Employers make Sept 18th a VTO Day (Volunteer Time Off) allowing your employees to give back to the community without having to give up a day's wages.

Employees sign up for a team and get ready to experience rewarding benefits such as connecting with your co-workers & other community members, learning new skills & seeing firsthand how your efforts can change people's lives for the BETTER

Community Members can get a group (friends, neighbors, family) together and sign up a team to volunteer in your own community.

Last year we had approximately 508 volunteers helping 43 different non-profit agencies and government entities throughout Mifflin and Juniata Counties. Let's beat that # this year!
