Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry

NCJW/Kendall Section and the St. Louis Catholic Church, in a joint venture, did a food drive last month to help feed families in need in Coconut Grove.

The Crisis Food Pantry is now feeding 230 families and the number is growing.

The Pantry organizers were very grateful for the amount of food our two groups were able to collect. NCJW Kendall Section member, Bonnie Webman, helps at the Pantry weekly and helped carry the food inside the building.

Thank you to everyone who donated to help feed the hungry

Announcements

We mourn the loss of Evelyn Axler who passed away on July 26, 2023. Evelyn was a NCJW Life Member and was always supportive of our Kendall Section. Her husband Morton Axler was the pediatrician of many of the ladies in Kendall as well as their children and Evelyn worked in the office with him.

We send our love and sincerest condolences to Teri Hirschberg and her family on the loss of her beloved husband, Marc. Terri was a longtime active member of Kendall Section and together with Marc advocated and fundraised for children with special needs in our community. May Marc's memory be a blessing to his family.
