The Big Apple is back in New York City

T

Bronx, New York, June 16, 2023 – As you might have noticed in recent weeks, LeMonde Studio's Big Apple set up camp in the Bronx for the first time. The now iconic structure will be displayed at Lou Gehrig Plaza until August 31st.

"We are excited to bring something new to the 161st Street BID," said Trey Jenkins, Executive Director of the 161st Street BID. "Public art and activations like the Big Apple are important aspects of city life. An activation like this is typically reserved for neighborhoods, not in the Bronx. We're happy to lead the charge in changing that."

Ensuring their experiences were accessible to everyone has always been a priority for LeMonde Studio. They are stoked to install one of their all-time favorite projects in a vibrant location. We genuinely hope this is the first of many projects in the Bronx.
