This Weekend at St. Michael's

Children & Youth Sunday

This Sunday, Nov. 5

A fall favorite - Children & Youth Sunday - is here! Our young people will be serving as worship volunteers at both the 8:00 & 10:30 AM services. We will have a team of youth cantors, older elementary school song leaders, and teen musicians sharing their clarinet, piano, and saxophone talents. Lastly, our younger elementary Cherub Choir will be singing at the 10:30 AM service. CLICK HERE to check out what they are singing this year! We would love to have your children join us... even if it's just to bring fun, young, dancing energy!

Owen Copps, Guest Preacher & Child-like Faith Forum

This Sunday, Nov. 5

As a part of Children & Youth Sunday, our preacher will be none other than our incredibly talented, energetic Director of Children & Youth Ministries, Owen Copps. Also, for the Sunday forum at 9:15, Owen will be joined by a panel of 4th and 5th graders to help us all remember what it is like to have child-like wonder, questions, and imagination. You won't want to miss any of this!

Please note: This forum will replace elementary Sunday School this week. Families are invited to attend together.

Thanksgiving Drive

Donations Due Nov. 5-12

Please bring any turkey, grocery, or gift card donations to church beginning this Sunday. Turkeys should be delivered to the downstairs freezer and grocery items/gift cards left on the table in the Parish Hall. You can still pick up a RED shopping bag to fill if you haven't already done so. We just need everything returned during next week (Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM or Sunday morning) by noon on Sunday, November 12. All of your donations are genuinely appreciated and will help make Thanksgiving a more joyful time for those in need in our community.

Stewardship Message

Ministry Feature: Youth

As a part of our 2024 Stewardship campaign, Led by the Spirit to Make a Difference in 2024, this week's featured ministry area is Children & Youth.

St. Michael’s is grateful to have a thriving children and youth program, with growing involvement from new families. We have weekly programming for all ages, including the nursery for our littles, Children’s Chapel for our elementary children, and different Sunday School offerings for all ages. Youth Group for middle & high schoolers meets on Wednesday evenings and our High School Youth council meets monthly on Sunday nights. Seasonal events like Fall Fest, the Christmas Pageant, Vacation Bible School, and more come alongside our weekly offerings to give our families different and engaging ways to stay involved.

Jesus says in Matthew, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Our children & youth program is centered around this message, helping our young people connect with the love of Christ that is theirs today, tomorrow, forever, and always.

The children & youth program greatly appreciates the ongoing support and generosity of the St. Michael’s community, especially our beloved volunteer teams!

We ask that you please prayerfully complete the 2024 pledge cards mailed to your home on or before November 19. To learn more and to make a pledge online, click below.
