Dance in Dialog is an annual series that starts conversations about dance and explores the process of making dances. Guest artists Mary Sofianos and Stephen Hill worked with students to create this year's pieces. Q&A with artists and dancers will follow. Get free tickets.

Bring your old pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and gourds for a smashing good time! You smash them and Lehman will turn them into compost for Lehman's flower gardens and the local community vegetable gardens.

Data Engineering & AI Career Exploration Workshop

Fridays, November 3 and 10, 1-3 p.m.

Bring your laptop to Gillet Hall, room 226 for a two-part workshop sponsored by the Computer Science Department/Lab and get data engineering and AI career insights, along with hands-on experience in building AI applications using Google Cloud Vision API for practical problem-solving. SEEDS of Change: The Walk of the Immigrants

Educator and activist Saul Flores will provide a deeper understanding of the struggles, hardships, joy, and hope that immigrants experience on their journey. Classes are welcome. Takes place in Music Building, room 306. Join us.

Montefiore Einstein Information Session

Wednesday, November 8, 4-5 p.m.

Learn about different career pathways in healthcare from the Human Resources team at Montefiore Einstein Hospital. They will also share what non-clinical (e.g., administrative) and clinical roles are available at Montefiore. Register for this Zoom session.

Male Gaze Interrupted

The Bronx Times took a close look at the Lehman College Art Gallery's exhibition, Framing the Female Gaze: Women Artists and the New Historicism. "The works challenge not only 'the male gaze,' but also reclaim it and transform it."

Eugene Chudnovsky

Leadership Recognized

Professor Eugene Chudnovsky has been awarded the 2024 Andrei Sakharov Prize for his "decades of leadership of prominent campaigns on behalf of oppressed scientists, including chairmanship of the APS and New York Academy of Sciences human rights committees and co-chairing of the Committee of Concerned Scientists."

Excellence Awarded

The CUNY Graduate Center announced that doctoral student Brittany Munro received a teaching award for her work in the English Department at Lehman. A member of the department shared that Munro taught “one of the strongest classes that I have observed in my twenty-five years at Lehman College.”
