An update on the PTO Directory: Thank you for your patience as we work on this important PTO initiative. Additional thanks to the parents and/or guardians who emailed us with updates and/or revisions. We’re working on the final directory now and will release within the next week or so upon its completion. We’re almost there! 

• SPIRIT WEAR ends tonight! Please shop here! Be sure to use PASSWORD: modking The sale closes September 18th so don’t delay. All spirit wear will be delivered to school and distributed via backpacks. All purchases except class color t-shirts earn the PTO 20% back! As a reminder for new and returning families, the Kings Road Class Color Shirts, while not mandatory, are a longstanding tradition that are worn on field trips, school spirit days, and field day! The colors for 2023-2024 are as follows:

School Pictures

THIS IS THE LAST CALL FOR SIBLING PHOTOS. You can sign up for sibling photos here. For new families, sibling photos are offered after school hours as an additional photo package perk and for an additional charge. KRS siblings and non KRS siblings are allowed to participate. With this noted, you must be on time for your photo or else your slot is forfeited. Due to high demand, there may not be an opportunity for a makeup session should you run late or miss your time slot. Therefore, please plan accordingly. 

For all, photo package options are sent home via email AFTER picture day and the purchase process is completed online. YAY for when technology simplifies things. 

Fall Fest is Coming

What’s fall fest? Simply put, it’s a celebration of the season. Join us on Friday, October 13th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. for a free and fun community building event on the KRS grounds. There’ll be stories, crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, grade level scarecrow building, music, and snacks.

This is a BYO blanket event as we’ll have some seasonal classics like Room on the Broom playing for anyone who wants to sit and rest while sipping on some cider.

A sign up genius for attendance will soon be released, but please know this is our save-the-date for something special. Of important note, this event is open solely to KRS families. Additionally, this event will be held rain or shine. Finally, this event will require direct parent chaperones. Each child(ren)in attendance will need their own family chaperone. 

Enrichment is Coming

What’s fall enrichment? Fall enrichment is a PTO sponsored after school opportunity where students can enroll in various six week classes led by teachers. Classes range by grade levels and experiences (i.e. play-doh, legos, yoga, gum and games, etc). Information including session descriptions, fees, and the all important registration date will be released shortly. For now, save the dates.

Fall enrichment classes will take place the weeks of October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th November 13th, 27th with make-up classes, if needed, being offered the week of December 4th. 

Thank you to Executive Board members Mona Alawadhi and Bobbie Madugula for helping staff the PTO table at back to school night! You’re absolutely wonderful. 

Thank you to Melissa Chaput for coordinating the room parents and processes with a smile. She leads with pure joy. 

Thank you to the parents who came out for back to school night and for all those who have paid their dues and/or donated on behalf of others. A gentle reminder that PTO dues are essential to our operation. If 60 people reading this in grades K-4 paid 60.00 in dues tonight, we’d raise 3600.00 just like that! Please remember that we’re reliant upon your dues participation to provide programming and essential enrichment activities to our students. Thank you for your kindness and commitment. We are a community of caring.
