UPDATES FROM THE BUSINESS MANAGER

Maintenance Team

Quinn Zoeller has decided to pursue an opportunity with Wagner Electric Company. He finished his last day at St. Patrick last Friday. We appreciate all of his hard work and dedication on the maintenance team and wish him well in the future.

Please welcome Josh Naber and Preston Prewitt to the Maintenance Team for the summer. Josh just completed his sophomore year at St. Xavier High School. Preston is a graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School and St. Xavier High School and just completed his freshman year at Bellarmine University. We are looking forward to both of them working with us for the summer.

Roof Update

Currently 65% of the church roof has been completed. Now that schools has recessed for the summer, the focus has shifted to the school, of which 5% has been done.

Thank you,

Dave Naber

Business Manager

Please keep Fr. Jeff, Fr. Quan, Fr. Tony, and Fr. Oz in your prayers this week while they are attending the Presbyteral Assembly at St. Meinrad.

PRAYING TOGETHER

Praying Together

The Precious Blood Returns This Weekend

We will reinstate the Precious Blood from the Chalice at the weekend Masses at the feast of Corpus Christi, June 10/11, 2023. Our parish and the Archdiocese, especially through The Record newspaper, is using this opportunity to provide you with renewed catechesis on the precious gift of Jesus Christ that we have been given in the Holy Eucharist. Please visit here to access these resources.

Return of Offertory Collection Baskets This Weekend

Along with the return of the distribution of Precious Blood from the chalice, we will also be passing the Offertory Collection baskets that had been part of our preparation of the gifts, prior to Covid. "From the very beginning, Christians have brought, along with the bread and wine for the Eucharist, gifts to share with those in need" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1351). Tithing and almsgiving are acts of worship (Corinthians 9:10-15) and express not only our desire to help those in need but also our generosity to God.

For those who have relied on the green offertory boxes located in the back of church for their stewardship gifts of treasure, they will still be available for use over the next several weeks. We also offer an online option that is easy and secure to use for your stewardship gifts. You can learn more about this on the parish website, stpatlou.org under the Give Today menu. Questions? Contact Lynne Marshall, Director of Engagement at 244-6083 or lmarshall@stpatlou.org. Thank you for your generosity!

Fr. Papi Update - Good News!

Soon after our request for prayers, Fr. Papi started showing signs of improvement. The head doctor noticed this and reviewed his charts. He found that a nurse had placed the wrong charts at his bedside. He does have a lung infection but it is treatable with medication and he’s on the path to recovery. We have spoken to him several times this week. He is weak but getting stronger every day.

Fr. Papi is so grateful for our prayers and asked that we send a big THANK YOU to the people of St Patrick. He said he had lost hope and turned it over to God. But the prayers of so many good people have lifted him up. He said God has been so good to him.
