Platform and Poster Abstracts

The deadline to submit is July 16. Please contact APTA Events if you do not receive the notification of the decision on your abstract submission by Oct. 1, or if you have other questions.

Researchers conducting studies on methods for promoting the uptake of research findings into physical therapy or physical therapist assistant education and designing educational interventions to address the gap between evidence and practice are encouraged to apply for the $40,000 Education Research Grant. 

The deadline for applications is July 31.

Title: Asynchronous Interviews in DPT and PTA Admissions.

The Admissions Network was created within the Academic Faculty SIG to foster discussion topics related to recruitment and holistic admissions in PT and PTA education.

The next virtual event will be held Tuesday, July 16th from 7-8:30pm EST.

This event will be an open dialogue to share ideas about asynchronous interview methods, strategies, successes, and challenges in DPT and PTA admissions.

There will be a few short presentations throughout the evening about programs' experiences with asynchronous interviews and opportunities for Q&A and discussion.

We have garnered plenty of interest in discussing the Kira platform thus far, and are still seeking members of the network to present in the area of the Altus Suite/Acuity Insights (including Casper).

If you are interested in sharing your experiences using this platform specifically, please let us know of your general interest to present a short summary of your experiences, and we’ll get back to you with planning details.

This Summit is a perfect opportunity for PTs who work in (or desire to work in...) primary care, integrated specialty practice, first-contact settings, or rural healthcare to hear about important innovations and updates for PTs in the primary care space.
