Island City, it's a When not a Where

Back in 2019, I was the youngest business owner in the Island City. The late Mayor Justin Flippen served at that time and was supportive, charismatic and proud of small business owners like myself.

Half a decade has passed, and now the city is a very different place. The loss of Justin and other friends reminds me that life is short and it can change in an instance. That's the reason driving my decision to pack up and leave Florida.

I'm thankful to have shared my passion for massage therapy with you all. To me, the ripple effect one person can have on another can never truly end. When you think of me, know that I'm always sending you good vibes and strength.

September is Hispanic Heritage Month 🇵🇷

As a young Puerto Rican navigating life in Delaware back in 2001, finding role models in my community felt a bit like searching for a salsa dancer in a square dance convention. 🕺🏻

Nowadays, I can look to people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rosie Perez, Pedro Pascal and America Ferrera for inspiration and hope of a better future for us all.

I'll leave you with a quote from one of my favorite celebrities, Mewtwo, "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant, it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."
