We are only six weeks away from the annual Rural Transportation Summit, this year in Yuma on October 18-19. We have put together a terrific agenda which is attached. Also, the early bird registration rate has been extended to next Friday, September 15th. Further information including the registration link and hotel accommodations can be found at www.azrts.org.

A primary topic at the Summit will be the future transportation revenue outlook and how that compares to projected future needs. While both Congress and the State Legislature have been very proactive directing additional funding to the infrastructure over the last couple of years, the long-term future remains bleak with the revenue to needs gap continuing to rapidly widen. I'm re-attaching last month's report on this topic.
