Our Summer Library Pursuit has been a blast so far and we still have 4 weeks of fun left! During June, 800+ people signed up to participate, 700+ people attended Summer Library Pursuit events, 250+ take and make crafts were distributed, and 30 weekly prize bundles were awarded. We're delighted that so many people in Centre County have been having a good time with their library this summer.

If you haven't registered for the Summer Library Pursuit yet, don't fret, you still have plenty of time to sign up and participate. The program this year is designed around the theme, “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” so, at the start of the program, you will receive your own “library passport” based on your age or ability (pick this up at your favorite Centre County Library branch). This will help you to document and remember your activities and accomplishments throughout the summer. If you prefer to track accomplishments on your phone, you can do that too by using the Readerzone app. Each week, participants will "travel" to a new scene of adventure, from outer space to the ancient world. Storytimes, book clubs, crafts, reading lists, and more are planned for each week, modeled after the weekly adventure type. Unique events–the likes of which you never expected–will also occur at our libraries throughout the program. For example, we have field days, trivia nights, mocktail mixing classes and more prepared for you (or your family members) to enjoy. As you participate, learning and having fun as you go, you’ll earn raffle tickets that you can use to enter drawings for prizes. There isn’t a better time than summer to be involved with the library. Lucky for you, you can kickstart your next adventure now and register for the Summer Library Pursuit on our website by clicking the button below!
