Here is one for you! An old Scout buddy messaged me and asked if I had a size medium Cub Scout shirt as his son was just joining. The same day a lady in North Dakota messaged me and asked if I would be interested in her son's old Cub uniform. I asked her what size? She answered medium and hopefully in the next few days her uniform from ND will be on it's way to Myrtle Beach, SC. The circular economy!
Today I got a call from a local dad in Charlotte asking if I sold Cub Scout uniforms and I pointed him to the Scout shop. But at the same time I packaged up an 8 pound box of used Cub Scout uniforms and shipped it to Conway, SC where another old buddy is helping to start a Cub Pack. I've gotten some push back from people saying online that I'm "keeping money from the BSA" by doing this kinda thing. If I can help a Scout get started or a pack or troop with their expenses I will sleep well at night....sorry haters!
For many reasons I have been bad about getting newsletters published this week. But the most important reason is that I've been so busy organizing and listing stuff on the website. So hopefully I'll get more than a few days ahead of my listing goals and I can take a breath. The rest of the day I'll be photographing and listing recently opened OA items which is my bread and butter.
