Dear Parents,
Love is in the air for our Mom's. Our classes are busy preparing a wonderful Mother's Day Muffins with Mom event for that special person in their life. We hope that one guest per child will join us.
The event taking place:
May 9 for Green, Red, and Yellow Door
May 10 Blue, Rainbow, and Orange Door
May 11 Brown, Purple, Silver
Tables will be set up outside for you to spend 10 minutes or so having a little treat and to receive your gifts. The event will be from 7:45-9:00. This year we have a special theme called Mother's Day Masterpiece. After you receive your masterpiece, head over the the photo station and have a photo taken with your child. We will get them printed for you as a special gift for that day.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for their optional 2 week summer vacation. I will keep the list up until Tuesday for those who have not signed up yet. The main purpose for getting you to sign up is so we can plan our staff vacations and make sure you are not billed.
Last week I reminded families that the second registration fee installment of $80 would be billed on 4/25. We were a little late on the billing so you will see that it was billed today.
This week I sent a link with our Fall 2023-2024 calendar in the messages. Families who will be in VPK, Kindergarten, First, or Second Grade are asked to use it to plan your vacations. Those classes are asked to ONLY plan vacations on Grey, Green, and Yellow days when we are closed or they are non-instructional days. We cannot provide make up work for vacations outside of those days.
In order to maintain our high quality program and to keep our organic healthy menu, we will need to raise our rates starting August 15th. Be on the lookout for a link next week in your messages to the Fall Fee Sheet. The link will be password protected so be on the lookout for the password to open the file. Our families receiving government subsidies, we will calculate your new rate for you.
PARENTS WHO ATTEND MIAMI DADE COLLEGE MAY QUALIFY FOR FREE TUITION AT KIDS FOR KIDS ACADEMY!! Our school has just been approved for a student voucher program. Miami Dade College will pay 100%
of your tuition and fees at uor school if you are taking at least 15 credit per semester. If you qualify, message me for more information.
Finally, our stomachs were so full after the Yellow Door Teacher appreciation lunch that we wished we had time for a little nap. Thank you to those families for their kindness. We are excited for the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Lunch next Thursday sponsored by the Blue Door families. There is a sign up sheet on the front white board for those of you who wish to sign up.
