Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) is hosting their first Columbus Green Team Summit on September 30, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Green Team Summits are opportunities for faith leaders, Green Team members, and environmental activists to come together for a day of learning and fellowship. This summit will discuss how faith calls people to care for and advocate on behalf of our Common Home. The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Ayres, Associate Professor of Religious Education at Emory University, will offer the Summit’s keynote address. Ayres is the author of several books including most recently "Inhabitance: Ecological Religious Education.” In addition to Ayres's remarks, there will be a series of workshops to help equip congregations to build their green teams, combat climate change through practical climate solutions, and get more involved in environmental advocacy.

Lunch, coffee, and light snacks will be provided.

All are welcome. General Admission is $20.
