Rhodenhiser Homecoming
As you might imagine, the family is exhausted and ready for some semblance of normal life in the days to come. Our hope is to help make their transition home as easy as possible, providing loving care for our rector and her family while respecting their privacy and giving them the space and time they need to heal.
We are currently working with the family to determine their needs and to coordinate planning. Of course everyone is eager to offer their love and support, and there are certainly important ways for everyone to assist. We will share plans just as soon as possible. Meanwhile, please resist, for the time being, the well-intended urge to visit or contact the Rhodenhisers directly. Thank you!
As we celebrate the miracle of George's recovery, please continue to hold the family close in thought and prayer.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving
O Lord, your compassions never fail and your mercies are new every morning: We give you thanks for giving our brother George both relief from pain and hope of health renewed. Continue in him, we pray, the good work you have begun; that he, daily increasing in bodily strength, and rejoicing in your goodness, may so order his life and conduct that he may always think and do those things that please you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sunday June 4
Fellowship Time and Picnic in the Shepherd's Hall
This Sunday, June 4, Sunday Fellowship Time will be immediately after the 10:15 service, up in Shepherd’s Hall, along with the first of 3 summer potluck “picnics”. If you are joining us for lunch, you are encouraged to bring a picnic dish to share, preferably one that doesn’t need to be heated.
Want to volunteer? We need people to help set up and and clean up for each of the summer potlucks, the first Sunday of June, July and August. Please contact Grace Sved (919-247-6426) if you can help.
We’ll also have a sign up sheet for Sunday Fellowship Time available, and are particularly looking for volunteers for July and August. Sign up on the sheet, or sign up online click HERE. Questions? Please contact Peter Miller for more information.

Prayer Request
Please remember in your prayers the Prentice Family as they gather at 4 PM on Sunday to memorialize their dear Liam Patrick.
Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love. Amen.

HUGS Camp Needs Staff and Buddy Campers!
July 10-15 | Haw River State Park
HUGS is a unique camp for unique people, bringing together young people of diverse abilities. They overcome barriers of real and imagined differences and build bridges of understanding. HUGS is about acknowledging the good creation in each of us and more fully knowing and loving our God through it. The great differences among campers and staff help all of us learn to appreciate and celebrate our diversity as we recognize our common ground.
Now, HUGS needs help. More than 50 campers have applied, and, in order for camp to happen, HUGS needs buddy campers (formerly helper campers) and staff to sign up for a truly life-changing week. Rising high school freshmen through seniors are eligible to apply as buddy campers, and rising college freshmen and older can apply as staff.
